The Gourmet Dog Barkery began in november 2009. And our very first treats were made in my kitchen at home, and tested on my first fur-child, Samson.

We have come a long way since then.

We believe in taking a holistic approach to your dog’s health, beginning with what goes in your dog’s mouth.

That is why all of our staff have a Diploma in Canine Nutrition, or are currently in the process of obtaining their Diploma.

We are trained as dog treat specialists, and consider your dog's health with the utmost importance when creating our dog treats.

YOUR dog, is part of the family. We believe feeding your dog natural, wholesome nutritious treats & food is the best way to keep your dog happy and healthy for life.

Our oven baked treats are made from AUSTRALIAN quality natural ingredients. Preservative free and organic where possible. This allows us to guarantee the high quality standards for all our treats.

Our Treats have a shelf life of approximately 6 months. We say "approximately" because we use no preservatives, they have no Used By date. But to maintain our standards and freshness, we use 6 months as a guide.

Our Gourmet Dog Treats are made from natural ingredients. Some of our treats contain unsweetened yoghurt or carob which may become soft or melt in warm environments, please be aware of this when ordering.

Most of our flavours contain approximately 20-30% of whatever the flavour is. For example, our Peanut Butter biscuits are about 25% real Australian Peanut Butter - not just flavourings!

The fat content also ranges from about 5% to 15%, depending on the flavour. Obviously our vegetarian flavours usually have the lowest fat content & some of our Biscotti flavours are even Fat FREE.
